GOWER, Mo. (AP) -- A school district in northwest Missouri canceled Monday classes after schools were evacuated for four straight days last week.
Administrators in the East Buchanan School District said classes were called off to give law enforcement officials more time to find the source of recent bomb threats.
The district's three schools were evacuated just after noon Friday and bomb-sniffing dogs began searching the buildings for explosives at about 3:30 p.m., said Nancy J. Roth, president of the East Buchanan School Board.
School officials are offering a $1,000 award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person making the threats, Roth said.
No bombs have been found during the searches.
"Obviously it's very disturbing," she said. "It's frustrating for everyone involved, and we're concerned for everyone's safety."
The district has about 730 students with a high school, middle school and elementary school.
Officials said a threat on Thursday was from a note found in a locker room at a school.
