Nurses Suzanne Dufek and Toni Morton attended the National Convention of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists in Nashville this month. They were part of 3,500 participants in the meeting.
Seminars on obstetrical and pediatric anesthesia provided information to the practitioners on new medical equipment technology and pharmacological advances. It was designed to give a learning experience in the medical, nursing, and sociopsychological sciences relating to nurse anesthesia.
Dufek is president of the Southeast Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists and is a member of its public relations committee. She is also chairman of the nominations committee of the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Morton belongs to the state association also.
Both are employed by Anesthesia Associates of Cape Girardeau, serving Southeast Missouri Hospital.
