NURSE HONORED AT STATE CONVENTION

Jan Eichhorn, RN, director of utilization management at St. Francis Medical Center, has received the Missouri Nurses Association Membership Award.

The award was presented during the organization's biennial convention held in Jefferson City in October.

Eichhorn received the award based on her service on numerous Missouri Nurses Association committees and her service as a board member and officer.

She was responsible for major bylaw changes when the American Nurses Association was restructured and she developed Missouri's first assistance program for impaired nurses. During her two years as president of the state's eighth district, district membership in the organization was at an all-time high.

She has been a nurse at St. Francis Medical Center since 1967 and has served as director of utilization management since 1987.
