Notre Dame High School will open its doors for the school year Wednesday with freshman orientation in the morning followed by a book sale until 1 p.m.
All students will report to classes on Thursday at 8 a.m., said principal Mary Ann Fischer.
A special night of get-acquainted activities will be held Friday for freshmen. The event is being planned by the senior class.
A booster club picnic and flea market will be held Aug. 31 at 7 a.m. Notre Dame. The booster picnic commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Booster Club and will feature a fish fry, lip sync show and other activities.
Fischer said the cost of education at Notre Dame is $2,500 per student. Money to meet the cost comes from tuition and fund-raising.
During the week of Sept. 20-28, students, staff and parents will be involved in a fund-raising campaign to raise $17,000 for the school's operating budget. Activities include a magazine subscription drive, candy sale, fruit sale, dinners, car washes and other service projects.
