Three Notre Dame High School students advanced to the state competition after placing at the Future Business Leaders of America's District 15 Leadership Conference, which was held at Notre Dame High School.

Daniel Newton, a junior, placed first in keyboarding and third in economics; Paula Welker, a senior, placed second in Business Communications II; and Carson Heady placed second in Business Communications I.

Newton, Welker and Heady will advance to the State Convention in Jefferson City on April 23.

Other Notre Dame winners were Matt Strohmeyer, senior, second in impromptu speaking and third in public speaking; Amy Holman, sophomore, fifth in Business Communications II; Amy Eftink, senior, fifth in business calculations; and Chris Bucher, junior, fifth in Business Communications II.
