Robert Dodson Jr., a senior at Notre Dame High School, earned a $1,000 National Merit scholarship to the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dodson is a member of the Liturgy Council, Scholar Bowl team and Student Council. He is treasurer of National Honor Society and secretary of Students Against Driving Drunk. He is a member of the varsity soccer and basketball teams.

Dodson plans to pursue studies in aerospace engineering of nuclear physics.

He is the son of Kimberlee and Robert Dodson of Scott City.
