New members are Amy Eftink, senior, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Eftink of Oran; Shannan Hagan, senior, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Hagan of Cape Girardeau; Bess Irlbeck, senior, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Irlbeck of Cape Girardeau; Leah Kennard, junior, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Kennard of Cape Girardeau; Allison Knaup, junior, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Knaup of Jackson; Lucy Knaup, junior, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Knaup of Cape Girardeau; April Thompson, sophomore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Thompson of Cape Girardeau; and Kimberly Westrich, sophomore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Westrich of Scott City.

Guest speaker for the ceremony was Rick Hoffman, principal of Altenburg Public School.

National Honor Society members become involved in service projects. The club sponsors two Red Cross blood drives each year and holds a toy drive for the Toybox campaign.
