North High Street in Jackson will be closed next Monday and Tuesday for sanitary sewer and pavement repairs.
Weather permitting, the city of Jackson will handle the sewer main repairs, and the Missouri Department of Transportation will repair pavement. The section of North High Street -- a.k.a. U.S. 61 -- from Cascade Street to Mary Street will be affected.
Motorists should expect to use alternate routes or detour routes that will be established. The detours will divert traffic onto West Jackson Boulevard, South Farmington Road and West Independence Street.
The city of Jackson urges motorists to use caution in and around the work zone. For more information, call Jackson city hall at 243-2300.
