The United Way of Southeast Missouri and the Volunteer Intergenerational Center are currently seeking nominations to recognize outstanding community volunteers at the 20th annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon to be held April 17. This program was developed to recognize the array of efforts contributed from numerous individuals and organizations that have significantly impacted our community in the past year.
Local agencies and organizations are encouraged to recognize their outstanding volunteers through a nomination. Nominations may be submitted in four categories:
A panel of judges will select an outstanding volunteer from each category to receive an award. All nominees and winners of each category will be recognized at the luncheon held at the Drury Lodge.
Nomination forms and information about both VIC and United Way can be requested through VIC, 2117 Broadway, in Cape Girardeau, 335-7555, or the United Way of Southeast Missouri at 1858 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, 334-9634. Nominations must be submitted no later than March 16.
