NOMINATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY FOR ANNUAL DINGELDEIN AWARD

The nomination deadline for the annual Otto M. Dingeldein Award, given by the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, is Friday.

The Dingeldein Award is given each year at the arts council's membership meeting, scheduled for Oct. 29. A committee will review all nominations and select the winner.

Nominees may be individuals or organizations and may support or participate in any area of the arts: drama, writing, dance, music or visual arts.

To nominate someone, send a letter of nomination or resume detailing the nominee's participation in or support of the arts, impact on the community, public recognition, length of involvement in the arts, nominating organization.

No name should appear on the resume; include instead a separate cover sheet containing the nominee's name, address and telephone number.

Send nominations to Dingeldein Committee, Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, P.O. Box 901, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0901, or hand deliver to the office at 100 Broadway in the Boatmen's Bank building, north entrance.
