No one challenges Jackson incumbents

Jackson's Board of Aldermen and Board of Education incumbents received no competition on the first day of filing Tuesday.

Every incumbent filed by the end of the day, Jackson city clerk Mary Lowry said.

Two seats on the school board and four aldermen seats are open.

The two-year terms for aldermen David Reiminger, Ward 2; Joe Baker, Ward 4; Larry Cunningham, Ward 3 and alderwoman Barbara Lohr, Ward 1, will expire next April.

In the school board elections, three-year terms for Cathy Goodman and Brent Wills also expire in April.

The filing period is open until 5 p.m. Jan. 17. Jackson's municipal elections will be April 4.
