NO CONTESTS IN WHITEWATER

James Rex Haynes, Marilyn M. Crites and Wayne Bartles will be elected Tuesday to the Whitewater Board of Trustees.

That isn't a psychic prediction, it's simply the only possible outcome for the election since Haynes, Crites and Bartles are the only candidates to file for the three seats available on the board.

Haynes has been on the board for five years, Crites has been a trustee for four years and Bartles will be a board newcomer.

"I'd like to see some competition for the board," Haynes said. "We have some important projects ahead. We're in the process of getting a water system."

The three will serve two-year terms on the board beginning later this month.
