Nine Cape Girardeau teachers were among more than 600 educators attending the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's eighth annual Write to Learn Conference held in February.
Featured speakers for the conference were Missouri author Vicki Grove, writing teacher Barry Lane, lecturer Dr. Donald Bartlette and Walt Disney 1991 teacher of the year Edward Schroeder.
Fifty-nine other sessions were presented.
Attending from Cape Girardeau public schools were elementary teachers Julie Anthill, Toni Dement, Laura Green, Melanie McVay, Debbie Mehner, Tammy Raddle, Mary Ann Stamp and Carla Tilley, and seventh-grade English teacher Pat Heckert.
