ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- At first, Todd Barrow thought the glow from a second-floor apartment was Christmas lights. When he realized it was a fire, the newspaper deliveryman moved quickly to help save a family from the burning structure.
Barrow was delivering papers about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Charles, Mo., when he saw the fire. He got out of his vehicle and banged on the apartment door. A woman and her three teenagers all got out without injury.
Barrow then rousted others in nearby apartments. Firefighters were able to limit damage to the exterior of the building.
Fire officials suspect an electrical outlet is to blame.
