GLEN ALLEN -- A Glen Allen woman died and her husband was injured after an antenna they were installing at their home accidentally touched an electrical wire Saturday, authorities said.

Authorities identified the couple as Beverly and Mike McFarland, both 23.

Bollinger County Sheriff Dan Mesey said the two were attempting to install a 30-foot antenna.

The McFarlands were trying to position the antenna when the accident occurred at 4:55 p.m., Mesey said. The McFarland home is situated along Highway 34.

Beverly McFarland was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by helicopter where she died a short time later.

Her husband was taken to the hospital by ambulance. A hospital spokesperson said he was in stable condition late Saturday night.
