NEW WHOLESALE JEWELRY STORE OPENS DOWNTOWN

M.J.'s on Main, a jewelry and accessories store, opened recently at 108 N. Main.

"We're wholesalers," said Mary Jo Richmond, president of M.J.'s Fashion Accessories Inc., headquartered in Dexter. "We call on retailers throughout the United States. We have an outlet store in Dexter, and decided to put one in Cape Girardeau, where the public may buy jewelry wholesale."

The new store is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday."

Richmond has been in the wholesale business about 10 years.

"We have a large variety of costume jewelry, ranging in price from $2 to $100," she said. "We also have a good selection of accessories, like belts, scarves, and ladies handbags."

Susan Seawel of Cape Girardeau has been named manager of the Cape Girardeau store.
