CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Chae's skin care and cosmetic products are now available here.

"The new retail products include a collection of cleansing and moisturizing products," said Daina East, who recently became image adviser and distributor for Chae Corporation here. "The skin care products and cosmetics are made from natural products herbs, flowers, oils, minerals."

East, of Cape Girardeau, recently attended skin-care and make-up seminars at Denver, Colo., where she worked with Chae Corporation founder and president Linda Chae, obtaining "hands-on" experience.

"Chae products were previously found only in beauty salons," said East. "Recently, Chae decided to convert to direct sales."

East, who has been involved in private businesses, is the first retailer of Chae products in Missouri.

"I'll be working out of my home," she said.

Linda Chae, who attended the University of Colorado, is founder and a president of three companies ChaeMaggio International, Chae Corporation, and Astraea Development Center.

She became vice president of a cosmetic company while pursuing a history degree in college, and founded ChaeMaggio International in 1971, building a chain of skin care/image centers.

Linda Chae has received national recognition Vogue, Sept. 1989 and L.A. Times, Jan. 1990 for her corporate management, product development and cosmetics.
