NEW SHOP OFFERS SHADES, LAMPS

"Shades 'n More," a new lighting fixtures store, opened last week.

Charles and Sally Layton are owners of the store at 213 S. Plaza Way.

"I'm really looking forward to serving the lighting needs of my former customers and new ones," said Sally Layton, who has 16 years of experience in retail lighting sales and services.

"We have a variety of lamps, mirrors, silk plants, and lighting supplies," she said. "We also provide lamp repair services."

She said more inventory would be added to the store in December.

One of her specialties is working with people and contractors building new homes.

"I'll be available to look at plans and visit the home while it is under construction to make recommendations for good lighting," she said. "I have a lot of experience in this phase of home lighting."

The store is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays during the holiday season.
