Jean Bollinger was installed Saturday as president of Girl Scouts of Otahki Council Board of Directors during the council's annual meeting.
Bollinger, who has been serving as vice president of the board, succeeds Caroline Goodin, who completed a six-year term as a president. Other board officers include Joyce Miller, vice president; Loretta Moeckel, secretary; and Rick Etherington, treasurer.
All volunteers were honored for service during the program and luncheon held at Centenary United Methodist Church.
A number of special awards were presented during the meeting, including the Thanks II Badge, which was presented to Goodin. The Thanks II Badge is the highest Girl Scout honor for an adult.
"Thanks Badges" were presented to Dolores Bossaller of Cairo, Ill., and Patti Eftink, of Gordonville, Mo.
Betty Brooks, Mary Jane Fieser and April Rhodes, all of Jackson, received the Honor Pin.
The Appreciation Pin was presented to Michelle Littles of Piedmont; Gwen Lehr of Anna and Pat McDonald, Donna Chintz and Kristen Bell, all of Jackson.
The Juliette Low Award, for highest percentage of members in relation to the girl population, was presented to Cape Service Unit, serving one out of every 3.45 girls in their jurisdiction.
The award for exceeding their membership goal went to Shawnee Service Unit; The Patton Service Unit received the award for the highest retention of girls and adults, and Dogwood, Hawthorn, Perryville and Tsalagi service unit received the Dolly Aubuchon Award for outstanding service unit performance.
