James Edward Goble has been named president and CEO of AmeriFirst Bank at Cape Girardeau.
Lehman Finch of Cape Girardeau, chairman of the board of the bank, 3060 William, announced the appointment this week.
Goble is replacing Paul Ebaugh, who will remain as a director of the bank.
Goble was most recently president of Ozarks National Bank at Lake of the Ozarks. He has 16 years' experience in banking. He has a B.S. in business administration with multiple majors in economics, finance and banking. He has also completed studies at the University of Oklahoma in conjunction with the American Bankers Association.
Goble, who is living in Cape Girardeau now, has been involved in numerous civic and social events. He chaired the 1990 Lake of Ozarks General Hospital auxiliary benefit ball, is a Rotarian, and is active with his alumni and various governmental groups.
AmeriFirst Bank opened in Cape Girardeau in May of 1990 and is now operating out of its new building. The bank will celebrate its grand opening week in the new building next week, June 10-15.
Ribbon-cutting will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, and a special open house will be conducted from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
