BENTON -- Kenneth Bullard was recently hired as the managing director of the New Madrid-Scott counties Enhanced 911 system.

As part of his duties to implement the new Enhanced 911 system, Bullard will be a guest speaker at the next meeting of the Southeast Missouri Emergency Management Association, Inc.

The meeting will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Scott County Courthouse in Benton. Ron McCubbin, a disaster coordinator for the Southeast Missouri chapter of the American Red Cross, will also speak about Red Cross services and disaster funding.

The courthouse is located along U.S. Highway 61 in Benton.
