NEW MADRID MAN, 23, DIES IN ACCIDENT

HOWARDVILLE -- A New Madrid man was killed Friday afternoon when he was thrown from an overturned vehicle.

Milton Debaun, 23, a passenger in 1956 International driven by Marcus Huepp, was killed after the vehicle's brakes failed as it was turning from New Madrid County Road 501 onto New Madrid County Road 502.

After the brakes failed, the vehicle ran off the roadway and turned onto its side. Debaun and Huepp were both thrown from the vehicle.

Huepp, 23, of New Madrid suffered minor injuries. Debaun was dead at the scene.

The accident occurred at 3:20 p.m.
