Several new books and videos are available at the main Jackson facility of the Riverside Regional Library.
New titles in the Adult category are When Christ Comes by Max Lucado, Comrades by Stephen Ambrose, French and Germans in the Mississippi Valley, The Letter of the Law by Tim Green, Pagan Babies by Elmore Leonard.
New in the Young Adult category are Angel of Hope by Lurlene McDaniel; Children: Miss Nelson is Missing! by Harry Allard, What a Scare, Jesse Bear by Nancy White Carlstrom, This is the Turkey by Laura Numeroff, Pumpkin Day, Pumpkin Night by Anne Rockwell, Whambamboozle by Jason Page and Halloween Poems for the Very Young by Nancy White Carlstrom.
The library and interested patrons will start a book discussion group for adults at the library in Jackson, 204 S. Union. The organizational meeting will be Monday, October 2 at 7:00 pm. Those interested in joining this group are asked to come to the first meeting to help get it started. Anyone desiring to start a group at one of our branch libraries, please call or visit the library and leave your name and phone number.
During the month of September, Doug Dirnberger's West Lane and Millersville art students have been displaying its work at the Main Facility in Jackson.
Sept. 23-30 is Banned Books Week. Look for displays in the libraries this month.

Fall programs begin in October: Story Times for preschoolers, Bedtime Stories for families, After School Adventure for Young Adults, Kids on Saturday for all ages, a book group and a dream interpretation workshop for adults. Call or visit the library for further information.
The library offers in-house internet and email access to all. Children and young adults without a driver's license must have a parent's signature.
A library card is not required. We do ask all to sign an agreement to our acceptable use policy.
