CyberTel, which recently opened in its new building at 500 N. Kingshighway, has announced the addition of five employees.
They are: Jo Ann Barrett, customer service representative; Raymond Gillis, installation technician; Jill Wilferth, account executive; and Toni Cobb and Timothy M. Hahn, retail sales specialists.
General manager Wayne Smith announced the appointments.
Barrett, a native of Leopold, worked for CyberTel for three years in St. Louis prior to moving back to Southeast Missouri. Barrett and her husband, Brian, are parents of two children, Bryanna, 7, and Jennifer, 3.
Gillis, a native of Poplar Bluff, will be responsible for installation of cellular phones and antennas. Gillis and his wife, Kathy, live in Cape Girardeau. They are parents of two children, Nichole, 11, and Jacob, 2.
Wilferth joins CyberTel after two years with Southwestern Bell Mobile System in Dallas. She is a 1985 graduate of Cape Central High School and a 1989 graduate of Southern Methodist University. She is the daughter of Fred (Rock) and Judy Wilferth, and now lives in Cape Girardeau.
Cobb, a native of Cape Girardeau, has extensive sales experience. Hahn, a native of Cape Girardeau, attends Southeast Missouri State University and works part-time at Mid-America Hotels as guest service representative.
"The addition of Cobb and Hahn enables us to expand our retail operation," said Smith.

Mike Halton recently joined Auffenberg Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge at Auffenberg's Cape Girardeau Auto Park in the 600 block of S. Kingshighway.
Halton, of Whitewater, is service manager at the dealership. He has more than 14 years of automotive experience. A native of the state of Nevada, Halton has worked in the Cape Girardeau area for the past year and a half.
Halton and his wife, Darlene, are parents of three children, Brad, Dannie and Jennifer.

Scott Shy has joined Phegley's Shooter Supply, 779 Enterprise, as head of its archery department.
Shy has more than 10 years of experience in the archery business, and has attended several training sessions on archery.

Scott Richards has joined Southern Engineering Corp., 615 N. Broadview, as a surveyor.
Richards, of Scott City, is a registered land surveyor.
"We recently expanded our office here," said Jim Johnson, manager of the office, which employs three to five full- and part-time people. "We more than doubled our space," said Johnson.
Southern Engineering Corp., headquartered in Carbondale, Ill., started its Cape Girardeau operation in 1986. Bill Schwegman is president.

Joyce Rayfield has joined the staff of The All New Oldies 100.7 and KAPE radio in Cape Girardeau as an account executive.
Rayfield has four years of experience in sales and marketing and will handle accounts in Southern Illinois.
Rayfield is a member of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the Southeast Missouri Council of Boy Scouts of America. She also serves on the board of the Greater Cape Girardeau Historical Society and is a member of the Riverfest Association.
Rayfield lives in Cape Girardeau. She has a daughter, Janel Trickey of Cape Girardeau.
