Deborah Gray and Brenda Welker have joined Shear Class Hair Design Group at 2033 Independence.
Gray, originally of Memphis, Tenn., recently moved here after living in Southern California for a number of years.
Gray, who has more than 15 years experience as a barber, is a graduate of Moler Barber College in Memphis. She owned Debbie's Barber and Style Shop for men and women in Munford, Tenn., from 1978 to 1980. She sold the shop to her sister, Brenda, and moved to California where she continued her career in hair styling.
"I returned to the Midwest to be closer to my family," she said. "I enjoy all aspects of the hair business, including men's hair styling or regular clipper cuts, women's hair styling, perms and tints."
Welker moved to the Cape Girardeau area after getting married in May. She is a 1980 graduate of Moler Barber College.
Welker operated the Barber and Style Shop until 1987. She sold the shop and moved to Covington, Tenn., where she worked for South of the Border Family Hair Care.
Shear Class Hair Design is a beauty and barber salon.
