Teresa Brown of Jackson has joined Sunny Hill Gardens as a floral designer.
Brown, who was employed by The Greenhouse for more than seven years, is a graduate of Frankie Shelton School of Design in Houston, Texas.
She has received several awards. She received first place in Teleflora design competition at Shaw's Botanical Gardens in St. Louis for her silk Christmas design and has received awards in FTD competitions for her fresh flower designs.

Spurlock, who previously worked with a travel agency, has four years of experience in the travel industry at Sikeston. In her new position she will be assisting AAA members with airline, hotel, cruise, tour- and car-rental reservations.

Steve Sotak has been named sports anchor a nd reporter for KFVS 12.
Prior to joining the Cape Girardeau television station, Sotak worked as sports director for KOTA-TV in Rapid City, S.D. He also worked as sport anchor and reporter at KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, S.D., and as sports director for KRTV-TV in Great Falls, Mont.
Sotak, a native of Pennsylvania, is a graduate in broadcast journalism at New House School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
