Jeff Breer has joined the Southeast Missourian sports staff.
Breer, a native of the St. Louis area, is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and comes to the Cape Girardeau from St. Joseph, where he was a sports writer for the St. Joseph News-Press.
He previously worked at the Fredericktown Democrat News, where he covered sports, city government and did darkroom work.
"I'm familiar with many of the teams and coaches in the area," said Breer.
Breer joins Bill Heitland and Marty Mishow on the Southeast Missourian sports staff.
Breer resides at Jackson.

Rhonda Sheeley of Dexter has joined the Country Companies at the Cape Girardeau office, 121 S. Broadview, Suite 7, as a service assistant.
She will assist Tim Caldwell and Bob Myrick, agents in the group's Massac-Pulaski-Alexander Agency.
Sheeley attended Three Rivers Community College at Poplar Bluff.
The Country Companies insurance group offers auto, life, health, home, disability income and commercial insurance.

Carole Yoder has joined Reppert Travel Center in Cape Girardeau as a consultant and agent to business and pleasure travelers.
Yoder has experience in the travel industry.
She was voted "Ms. Congeniality" and graduated at the top of her class from the Carlson Travel Academy in St. Louis. In addition to more than 200 hours of training on the worldspan computer system, Yoder specializes in determining best-value fares and assisting clients in all aspects of travel planning.
Yoder, her husband, D.J. Yoder, and daughter, Fara, reside in Cape Girardeau.

Lonnie Mobley and Charles Stone have joined Miracle-Ear Center, 1465 N. Kingshighway, in Cape Girardeau as hearing instrument specialists.
Mobley, a native of Southeast Missouri, has previous sales experience. He recently completed a two-month training program in the field of hearing instrument science, which includes testing, fitting and field repair of hearing instruments. He will provide service in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger and northern Scott counties.
Stone, a Cape Girardeau resident, has been a hearing instrument specialist six years, is licensed with the state of Missouri and is a Missouri Medicaid provider. He will assist the new Miracle-Ear office at Farmington and will serve service centers in Madison, Iron and Reynolds counties.
Miracle-Ear offices are located at Cape Girardeau, Farmington and Perryville, with a network of 12 monthly service centers conducted in seven counties.
Miracle-Ear Centers is a division of B&S United Agencies, independently owned and operated by Ken Swinford and Joyce A. Hill, franchisees.

Evelyn G. LeGrand has joined Century 21 Key Realty.
LeGrand completed pre-license training at Independent Career Institute in St. Louis County and received her license from the Missouri Real Estate Commission last month.
"I'm looking forward to an opportunity to use my past local government and business experience to work with property buyers and sellers in this area," said LeGrand. "This is an exciting time to enter this profession."
LeGrand, a St. Louis County native, has been living in Cape Girardeau County since 1979. She attended John A. Logan College and Southeast Missouri State University.
She has served the community in various voluntary capacities, including vice president of operations on the Riverfest Association Board of Directors, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee and as Riverfest '92 general chairman.
LeGrand, her husband, Larry, and son, Jason, reside in Cape Girardeau.

Carter, a native of St. Louis, is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, with a degree in accounting.

Michele Rook has joined the staff at Kwik Kopy Printing, 354 S. Silver Springs Rd., as a graphic artist.
Rook worked previously as a graphic designer for DSI Systems, Inc., in Kansas City, and for Life Style Homes, in Liberty, Mo.
She is a graduate of Central Missouri State University of Warrensburg, with a bachelor's degree in design and a master's in graphic arts management.
Rook and her husband, Andrew, reside in Charleston, where he is a teacher.
