Jim Litzelfelner has joined Homedco as branch manager of the Cape Girardeau operation.
Litzelfelner, of Jackson, has a number of years of medical and management experience.
He was medical resource manager of the 22nd Medical Group at March Air Force Base in California, where he was responsible for the administration and management of the medical group. Prior to that he served as medical expense and performance reporting manager for four years at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa.
Litzelfelner has a degree in health service administrative management.

Ron Garland, a native of Jackson, has been appointed head of employee and labor relations with Farmers Home Administration in St. Louis.
Garland is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He received his master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and did additional post-graduate work at the University of California-Berkley.
Garland will direct activities of a staff of employee- and labor-relations specialists who service the St. Louis office of FmHA, which has more than 1,000 employees, as well as servicing all the FmHa unionized state offices throughout the U.S.
He returned to Missouri in 1991 after 20 years in New York City and San Francisco, where he negotiated hundreds of labor agreements.
Garland is the author of four books, including "Working and Managing the New Age" by Ballantine Books and "Making Work Fun" by Shamrock Press.
Garland, his wife, Judy, and daughter, Rhonda, reside in Chesterfield. He is the son of Don and Coletta Garland of Jackson.

Cheryl A. Mothes, a registered nurse, has been named administrative director of patient care at St. Francis Medical Center. She succeeds Brenda Johnson, who recently became the medical center's director of education.
As administrative director of patient care, Mothes is responsible for patient-care staffing, scheduling, administrative supervisors, float orderlies and the hospital's float pool.
Mothes has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Pittsburg (Kan.) State, and a master's degree in nursing from Wichita (Kan.) State University
She has extensive experience in nursing education, nursing management and critical care. She was previously associate vice president for nursing at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kan.
