Arnold Killian, chief engineer at the television station, announced Meinke's appointment recently.
Meinke, who holds a bachelor's degree in electronics from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, served in the Navy from 1985 through 1991, and was assigned to attack Squadron 85 aboard the U.S.S. America deployed to the Persian Gulf in Operation Desert Storm.
Meinke, a native of Kansas City, and his family now reside in Cape Girardeau.
