ST. LOUIS Randy L. Farmer, a native of Cape Girardeau, has been appointed assistant vice chancellor and director of medical and alumni development programs at Washington University.
Farmer will be responsible for managing the fund-raising programs of the university's School of Medicine, which generates over $20 million annually in gift support.
He is a 1972 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and holds a master's degree from Ball State University and a doctorate in higher education from Indiana University. He started with Washington University as assistant director of corporate and foundation relations and was named director in 1991.
Prior to joining Washington University, he was affiliated with the Hahs District Agency of Northwestern Mutual Life in Cape Girardeau.

Jeff Green of Cape Girardeau has joined Marilyn's Hair Salon, 125 N. Main, as a hair stylist. Also joining Marilyn's is Diane Lange, a nail technician.
Green is a graduate of Stage One, The Hair School of Cape Girardeau, and has 10 years experience. He previously served as manager at Regis Hairstylists.
Lang, formerly of St. Louis, is experienced in all phases of the nail arts. She previously worked at Regis.

Mary Gosche has joined University of Missouri Extension as human development specialist.
Gosche will be working in Perry, Cape Girardeau, Madison and Iron counties.
Gosche, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in vocational home economics and a master's degree in education, is a certified family and life educator.
She previously served as home economics instructor at Hayti and Zalma high schools. She also worked four years as the coordinator of the Work and Family Institute at Southeast Missouri State University and served two years as a graduate teaching associate in home economics at the university.
Gosche and her husband, Jim Gosche, a bank agriculture lender, have two children, Amanda, 8, and Jamie, 12.

Jane Drown of Cape Girardeau has joined Rust and Martin as a designer.
Drown, a native of Iowa, has lived in the Cape Girardeau area the past three years.
She worked with Interior Reflections at Jackson as a designer, and is completing work for an interior decoration degree from the department of human environmental studies at Southeast Missouri State University. She also has a bachelor of science degree in art.
Drown is a member of the Women's Excelsior Optimist group and of the American Business Women's Association.

Ronnie Clayton and Pete Umfleet, both of Cape Girardeau, have joined Monty's Mobile Home Sales, 602 S. Kingshighway, as sales associates.
Umfleet has been in the mobile home business 15 years in both sales and management.
Clayton has three years experience in mobile home sales.
