Dr. Allen Branson has joined Wal-Mart Vision Center.
Branson, of Cape Girardeau, has been working with Royal Optical for more than two years. He will start at Wal-Mart when the company opens its new Superstore here.

JACKSON Sheila Birk has joined Lora-Don Beauty Salon, 125 E. Adams, in Jackson.
Birk, a graduate of Stage One The Hair School at Cape Girardeau, has more than two-and-a-half years experience and has completed courses as a Zotos educated designer.
She previously worked at the Famous Barr salon.

Tim Locke is new manager at The Finish Line Penzoil 10-Minute Oil Change and Lube Store, 900 N. Kingshighway.
Jim Mungle, president of the Finish Line, announced Locke's appointment recently. Mungle also announced that Rick Smith has been named assistant manager the center.
Mungle also owns Finish Line centers at Sikeston and Jonesboro, Ark.

Larry Shafer is in a new position with the U.S. Postal Service.
Shafer, who has served 11 years with the postal service, is marketing account representative, a position created due to the new mail distribution center at Cape Girardeau.
Shafer, who transferred to Cape Girardeau from Marion, Ill., in mid-1980, is available to assist business mailers in redesigning their mail for the new process.

Glen McFadden has accepted the position of chief operating office at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis.
McFadden served as executive vice president at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau since 1986. He was director of pathology at St. Francis a number of years during the 1970s.
