ST. LOUIS Robert Schmidt, formerly of Cape Girardeau, has joined the Atkinson Group, Inc., St. Louis, as controller.

Prior to joining Atkinson, Schmidt was with Brandvein, Shapiro Kossmeyer & Co. in St. Louis.

Sherry Thurman of Cape Girardeau recently joined Century 21 Key Realty.

Thurman is a graduate of the Independent Career Institute facility at Sikeston. ICI is headquartered at St. Louis.

Promotions and new additions have been announced at KBSI-TV, the Fox Network affiliate at Cape Girardeau. Promotions include James Humphreys, who has been named general sales manager, and Nicole Dunning, appointed commercial producer.

New personnel include Joe Fraley, previously account executive at KFVS-TV, who was named KBSI-TV assistant sales manager; Rich Griffin, previously with WCIL-FM, Carbondale, who was named Southern Illinois account executive; Cheryl Collins, previously with HNWH Radio-Chicago, who was named Southern Illinois account executive; and Alicia Guadaramma, previously with KABB-TV, San Antonio, who was named creative services producer-director.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. Kevin Kosharek, formerly of Scott City, has been promoted to specialist III in the data processing department at State Farm Mutual Automobile Co.'s home office here.

Kosharek joined State Farm in 1991.

Baker has served as office manager at Town & Country seven years. She has been buying rental property six years and has remodeled several properties in the area.

Paul D. Bailey has joined Commerce Bank as assistant vice president, consumer loans/automobile indirect.

Bailey, a native of Cassville, previously worked as a loan officer at the First State Bank of Monett.

Laura Sparkman of Cape Girardeau has been promoted to real estate loan officer in real estate lending at Commerce Bank.

Sparkman joined Commerce in August 1992 as a loan representative in real estate.
