Judy Moss, economic developer for the city of Cape Girardeau for three years, is now a business and industry specialist with the University of Missouri-Columbia.

"I work with the Extension Division," said Moss, one of two certified economic developers in the UM Extension system.

Moss works with start-up businesses, presenting marketing programs, personnel management and communications seminars.

"We also work with communities to help them develop economic and industrial programs," she said.

Moss writes a monthly column that appears in the Mid Missouri Business magazine.

Linda Reutzel has joined Schott & Van de Ven, Certified Public Accountants, as a staff accountant.

Reutzel, a native of Cape Girardeau, obtained her bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting and a minor in mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University.

Reutzel's duties are auditing, writing up services and tax-return preparations. Since joining the firm, she has attended approximately 12 hours of seminars related to auditing.

Reutzel, her husband, Gene, and two children, reside in Cape Girardeau.

Schott & Van de Ven, 1020 N. Kingshighway, Suite D, has branch offices in Marble Hill and Van Buren, and Marion, Ill.

Craig Wells has joined Mercantile Bank, 325 N. Kingshighway, as senior vice president and senior loan officer.

O.J. Miller, president and chief executive officer of the bank here, announced Wells' appointment.

Wells, who has been in banking since 1975, most recently worked with Mercantile Bank of Springfield as senior vice president in charge of commercial lending and credit analysis.

Wells received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Missouri-Columbia and has a master's degree in business and public administration form Cornell University in New York.

He and his wife, Sandy, have two sons, Kurt and Kyle.

Physical therapist Craig Millham has joined the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center's rehabilitation staff. Millham has 17 years of experience in the field of physical therapy.

He, his wife, Carla, and four daughters reside in Jackson.

Dr. Diane Hall has joined Dr. Melissa Hillhouse in dental practice at 1749D Independence.

Hall, a native of West Helena, Ark., attended the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and was graduated from dental school at Lincoln, Neb., in 1991. At Lincoln she received a certificate for honors from the American Dental Association.

She worked at Lancaster County Dental Clinic at Lincoln for a year.

Hall's husband, Jesse, is a soil conservationist.

Janine Pfanstiel, a massage therapist, recently joined the staff of Meyer Chiropractic Center, 73 Sheridan, to administer therapeutic massages.

Pfanstiel, an independent practitioner since fall 1991, was trained in massage therapy in St. Louis by Robert Boyer, massage therapist.

Massage sessions of 45, 30 and 15 minutes may be scheduled.

Dr. Roy P. Meyer, in announcing the new service, said massage benefits include stress reduction, easing of muscle soreness, and increased blood circulation.

Charles Lockhart has joined Van Matre Buick, 511 S. Kingshighway, as a salesman.

Lockhart, a native of New York, has more than 15 years experience in auto sales.

He moved to Cape Girardeau from Texas.
