CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Two clinicians at the Community Counseling Center Rondi J. Rork and Christi A. Turpin have completed final requirements for doctoral degrees by defending their doctoral dissertations. Both will receive doctorates of philosophy in psychology.
Rork will be receiving her degree in clinical and social psychology from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn. Turpin will be receiving her degree in educational psychology in human learning from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill.
"Rork provides therapeutic and testing services for the children and family team," said spokesman Barbara Morgan. "Turpin is associated with adult outpatient services, and also offers counseling and assessment services to agency clientele." Both started with the agency in 1989.
The Community Counseling Center maintains offices locally at 24 S. Mt. Auburn Road, and in Ste. Genevieve, Marble Hill, Perryville and Fredericktown.
