CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Neurosurgeon David G. Yingling will join the Cape Girardeau neurosurgical practice of Dr. Yong Kie Kim here this summer. CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Neurosurgeon David G. Yingling will join the Cape Girardeau neurosurgical practice of Dr. Yong Kie Kim here this summer.

Yingling and his family will move to Cape Girardeau from Albany, N.Y., where he is research resident in the neuroscience department of Albany Medical Center. He served as chief neurosurgical resident at the Albany center, and Albany Veteran's Administration Hospital, where he also served a general surgery internship.

A native of Pennsylvania, Yingling graduated summa cum laude, with a bachelor of science degree in biology from State University of New York-Cortland, and earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College.

He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and is qualified for certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

"I am pleased that Dr. Yingling has elected to establish his neurosurgical practice here," said Kim, who has practiced here since January of 1985.

Yingling and his wife, Cindy, have four children, Michael David, 9, Sara Beth, 8, Meghan Ann, 5, and Daniel Alan, 3.
