NEW COUNSELING SERVICES OPENS

Counseling Resources is now open at 2008 William St.

The new counseling service will be a limited private practice.

"I have been involved in counseling a number of years," said Ann Puryear-Johnson, a licensed professional counselor. "I am licensed by the state of Missouri, and have been certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, a private certifying agency."

Johnson, a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI), and State University of Virginia, has a Doctoral Degree in counselor education.

She has lived in Cape Girardeau four years, and is involved in community activities.

"My counseling practice will be a limited one," she said. "We'll be catering to older adolescents and adults."

Counseling will be offered in career, personal, marriage, couples and group counseling, said Johnson.

Appointments are available by calling 335-8277.

"Evening hours will be available," she said.
