NEW CAR CLUB TO MEET EACH TUESDAY

JACKSON -- Midwest Asphalt Angels, a recently formed car club, will meet each Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the Sonic Restaurant in Jackson.

Donnie Smith, president of the Asphalt Angels, said the club is an opportunity for car collectors to meet and show off their old cars.

"Once a month we will do something like have a parking lot dance, a `50s dress and dance contest, best hod rod," Smith said. "We will have a jar set up for donations, and at the end of the season, we will donate it to a special cause."
