CAIRO, Ill. -- The Little Egypt Housing Development Corporation will hold an open house at its new 17-unit housing complex here Sunday at 3 p.m.
The $980,000 complex, located between the 1800 and 1900 block of Poplar, includes 17 two-bedroom units, offices, laundry area, court yard and playground.
The new apartments will open soon. The project is targeted to low income families said Mable Hollis, manager.
Each unit is equipped with a patio, appliances and central heating and air conditioning.
Funding for the development was provided by Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) and the Illinois Housing Development Authority's HOME Program.
