The other office holders remain the same: Vice-chairman Nelda Hinton, secretary Chris Edwards and treasurer Simon Ebenstein.

"The local party has been helping me greatly in the campaign for the representative seat," Neumeyer said.

"By accepting the chairmanship, I can give back to the party."
