The Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives says 5,300 customers lack electricity in the Hayti area of Pemiscot County. Another 300 outages remain in the Poplar Bluff area, and 217 around Sikeston.

The ice storm struck southern Missouri on Jan. 26-27. Utility officials hope to have all power restored by the end of the week.
