The National Weather Service out of Paducah, Kentucky, confirmed tornadic activity in Cape Girardeau County late last week.

A damage survey issued Friday said there were two EF-0 tornadoes that occurred Thursday, the lowest level on the scale regarding damage potential.

Both tornadoes occurred between 9 and 9:30 p.m., each lasting no more than three minutes. The first occurred just outside Daisy and the second started three miles west of Jackson.

No injuries or fatalities were reported, though several tree limbs and small trees were brought down by the winds, which ranged from 75 to 85 miles per hour. A few homes near the tornado that occurred outside Jackson reported loss of shingles and mild gutter damage. One home sustained a broken window.
