Orders are being taken by local Missouri Army National Guard soldiers for pork butts and shoulders in an effort to generate funds for the signs to honor local men who were killed fighting overseas, according to KZIM KSIM. The signs are part of the Heroes Way program. The "Grill Sergeants" will take orders at 573-803-0881 until the week of March 8. Meat can be picked up March 13 and 14 at the armory in Cape Girardeau. Donations are being accepted. Business sponsorships will also be appreciated. Each sign costs $2,200. Brad Skelton's sign is planned for the Route K exit off Interstate 55. Jeremy Shank's sign is planned for Center Junction, while signage for Robert Davis is to appear at the East Main Street off-ramp.
