NARFE WILL HOST PICNIC ON SEPT. 1

Chapter 626 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) will host its annual picnic on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at the Cape Girardeau County Park South, Pavilion 20. The picnic will begin at 11 a.m.

Clubs from Springfield, Columbia, St. Louis, Joplin, Crystal City, Sikeston, Willow Springs and Bismarck will also attend as will Missouri Federation officials.

Club members will present a check for more than $1,300 to the Salvation Army in Cape Girardeau for flood relief.

Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Lunch will be served at noon.
