Bob Renschen of Cape Girardeau has been appointed to the Southeast Missouri Private Industry Council (SEMO PIC) Board of Directors to represent Cape Girardeau County, Mary McBride, SEMO PIC Executive Director, has announced.

The SEMO PIC, located at 980 N. Kingshighway, administers federal Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) programs in 13 Southeast Missouri counties from Ste. Genevieve County through the Bootheel, McBride said. Its mission is to enhance employability and employment throughout the region.

The SEMO PIC Board of Directors consists of tw~o private business representatives from each county along with eight public sector members from the region at large.

Renschen, currently on special assignment at Procter and Gamble as a training developer, is one of two private business members from Cape Girardeau County. Ronn Unterreiner of Cape Girardeau holds the other position.

In his job with Procter and Gamble, Renschen is responsible for developing technical and human resource training, primarily at the Cape Girardeau plant. He has spent 24 years with the company, starting in Pennsylvania. He later worked in Cape Girardeau, California, and New York before returning to Cape Girardeau, where he now lives.
