ADVANCE, Mo. - Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope identified a body found in an Advance parking lot as 34-year-old Sean Crow of Bernie, Mo. Pope said Crow was a graduate of Bernie High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Parma, Mo., area.
Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner said Crow's death was of a "suspicious nature" and an autopsy has been scheduled for 10 a.m. today in Farmington, Mo.
According to Hefner, a 911 call alerted authorities that a body had been found at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in a red GMC truck in the Advance McDonald's parking lot.
Neither Pope nor Hefner would say what made the death appear suspicious or how they believe Crow died.
A witness at the scene reported having seen the truck parked on the lot at about 6 p.m. Tuesday night and noted that there are security cameras on multiple nearby businesses.
