JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader will appear on Missouri's ballot in November.

The secretary of state's office said Thursday that Nader supporters submitted more than 14,000 signatures seeking to get him and vice presidential candidate Matt Gonzalez on Missouri's ballot. It takes 10,000 valid signatures.

The secretary of state's office also announced that five independent candidates for the state Legislature will appear on the ballot. Those candidates are running for state House seats representing the St. Louis area and the southern part of the state.
