EPIC -- Early Prevention Impacts Community -- will bring Norma Meek to offer Mutt-i-grees Curriculum training for local teachers and youth-serving professionals Aug. 27 and 28 at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.

Mutt-i-grees fosters empathy and communication skills for young people through structured dog training.

Training sessions for those working with elementary-aged students will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Aug. 28. Training for those working with high school-aged students will be from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Aug. 28.

Interested participants should RSVP by Aug. 20 by contacting coordinator@epicprevention.org or 573-587-1921. They are asked to specify which sessions they will be attending.

The training is free and curriculum is available at education.muttigrees.org/signup.
