Scheduled to perform are cello students of Sara Edgerton, Southeast assistant professor of music; piano students of Ryan Kasten and Alicia Wappel; violin students of Jo Anne Bonnington and Mel Gilhaus; and voice students of Lori Shaffer.

Southeast Missouri Music Academy, a non-profit organization under the auspices of the university's music department, is designed to enrich the lives of students by stimulating a lifelong appreciation of music. The academy, formerly known as the Music Preparatory Program, develops basic musical and performing skills.
