MUSIC ACADEMY TO HOLD RECITALS SET FOR OCT. 24

Southeast Missouri Music Academy will hold two recitals Sunday at Southeast Missouri State University.

The recitals will be held at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. in Brandt Music Hall, Room 205.

Scheduled to perform are cello students of Sara Edgerton, Southeast assistant professor of music; piano students of Ryan Kasten and Alicia Wappel; violin students of Jo Anne Bonnington and Mel Gilhaus; and voice students of Lori Shaffer.

Southeast Missouri Music Academy, a non-profit organization under the auspices of the university's music department, is designed to enrich the lives of students by stimulating a lifelong appreciation of music. The academy, formerly known as the Music Preparatory Program, develops basic musical and performing skills.
