POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- After hearing additional testimony Monday afternoon, a judge ordered the boyfriend of an Arkansas woman to stand trial for her strangulation death, which happened at a downtown apartment building in Poplar Bluff.
Associate Circuit Judge John Bloodworth found probable cause to bind Jeremy Allen Winkle over for trial on a second-degree murder charge.
The 29-year-old, who has addresses in Paragould, Aransas, and Senath, Missouri, originally was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the May 19 death of Tiffani Noles, 28, of Paragould.
Bloodworth ordered Winkle to appear Tuesday before Presiding Circuit Judge Michael Pritchett for arraignment.
