The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band will present "A Salute to America" and special recognition of veterans at tonight's concert.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. at the Capaha Park band shell. Admission is free, and the concert will last about an hour. Bring lawn chairs.
Selections include "Salute to Freedom," "When Johnny Comes Marching Home," "Second American Folk Rhapsody," "Red's White and Blue March," "A Tribute to Glenn Miller," "National Emblem March," "America, the Beautiful," "Armed Forces Salute" and "The Stars and Stripes Forever March."
Ron Nall is the conductor. Jonathan Stewart, the choir director at Centenary Methodist Church, is the special guest entertainment. Herb Nance is the celebrity guest conductor.
